Search Engine Optimization
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization.
In order to construct an archive, every search engine puts out crawlers to collect all the material and information they can from throughout the web. When a search engine receives a request, the algorithm sifts through the database to deliver the most essential and relevant data in the search results, also known as search engine rankings.

SEO optimization involves customizing the site and changing the content in order to improve your ranking on search engines.
As a result, optimizing the site includes changing the content to make it more functional and to attract more visitors who will stay on the website longer. SEO is constantly evolving in response to the demands and changes imposed by search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing.
These changes are currently occurring at a faster rate than we would like. As a result, the term SEO is almost obsolete. SEM, which stands for Search Engine Marketing, is taking its place. The most important factor in optimizing your site is SEO or SEM.

The better the result of SEO optimization of the site is influenced by the site’s regular maintenance, which means that if you regularly supplement the site with quality content, you will find your site in a better position.
Why is site optimization (SEO) important?
Since the beginning of the Internet, there has been fierce competition for a spot on Google’s first page.
According to statistics, the average Internet user who searches for a specific term rarely switches from one page to another. The logical conclusion is that if your site is not on the first page of organic search results, it is unlikely that anyone will find it.
On the other hand, ranking first on Google (the most popular search engine) brings you many more potential customers and thus higher profits.

How important are keywords for SEO?
In the early days of digital marketing, good SEO site optimization meant having a lot of keywords. SEO experts have written content with a slew of keywords, many of which have no sense, in an attempt to rank on a search engine results page.
The world has changed. Google now penalizes sites that “accumulate” site content with keywords or numbers in an attempt to manipulate a site’s ranking in Google search results. According to Google, keyword accumulation “results in a negative user experience and can lower the position of your site.”
Keyword accumulation, according to Google, can take the following forms:
- Long keyword lists with no context or meaning
- Text blocks listing the cities and countries the site is attempting to rank for
- Repetition of the same word or phrase to the point of sounding unnatural
Google now ranks sites based on how relevant and valuable they are to visitors, so a site with a keyword list but no accompanying content, or content that is clearly written to use more keywords rather than providing useful information, will be penalized.
Keywords are no longer as important in search as they once were. According to a SEMRush ranking factor study, keywords are less important than 11 other ranking factors such as site visits, time spent on it, site departure rate, and content length.
The use of keywords is one of the most popular SEO techniques, according to the report, but “the presence of keywords in the title, meta description, and body of the text proved to be significantly less influential than other factors.”
Effective use of keywords
Keywords are still important; you just need to use them correctly. Google recommends that you “focus on creating useful and rich information content that uses keywords appropriately and in context.”
Google is improving its understanding of user intent and measuring the relevance of content, which means it can see beyond what a user types into a search box to understand what they’re really looking for and show results that meet that need. As a result, content should be written for the user rather than the keyword.
There is, however, a correlation between keyword content and search engine rankings. According to a SEMRush report, “more than 75% of sites from the top 20 search results have keywords in their content and more than 60% have them in their title.”
So keep those keywords in your content, but make sure they appear naturally and that your content provides real value to your site visitors. If you create valuable content that is useful to readers who arrive at your site via keyword search, your keywords are more likely to have context in your content, and Google will reward you with a higher search rank.
